Our Life Journey

Fanie and Marina Myburgh are both qualified and ordained Pastors who entered the ministry in December 1998. Driven by a deep sense of calling they have dedicated their lives to spreading the Gospel, nurturing faith, and making a lasting impact on their community and beyond.

Cherish the Blessing of Family Life

At the heart of our ministry has always been a deep passion for the Lord’s work and a desire to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. Family has been equally important to us, and marrying young allowed us to raise our children while growing in faith and preparing for a lifetime of ministry.

We are blessed with three children—a son and two daughters—and we treasured the years of homeschooling, where we focused not only on academics but also on faith, character, and practical life skills. That season shaped our family deeply and allowed us to grow both personally and in ministry.

Today, we rejoice in seeing the fruit of those years. All our children are thriving in their adult lives and careers. Our son is a millwright, and both our daughters teachers. Both daughters are also married, and God has graciously added two wonderful sons-in-law to our family, enriching our lives in countless ways.

For many years, we embraced a season of farm life, honoring a family legacy of more than 100 years of farming. As our ministry calling expanded, we intentionally scaled this back to make more space for what God is doing now. Our family remains very close, and we treasure every moment we are able to spend together, grateful for the seasons God has carried us through and the journey still ahead.

Building Connections and Cultivating Ministry

Since stepping into ministry, we’ve been incredibly blessed by the opportunity to meet amazing people, collaborate with devoted individuals, and learn from wise mentors. These relationships have enriched our lives, and we’re excited for the new connections God will continue to bring our way as we work together in His eternal mission to prepare for the harvest.

We cherished our time in the parenting phase, all the while embracing the opportunities to grow in our calling. Our journey included regular ministry at local schools, teaching various subjects at a Bible school in Brits, and actively participating in outreaches and events. As our homeschooling responsibilities allowed, we were blessed to travel within South Africa for ministry. Through this journey, we’ve come to understand that it’s not us who create new opportunities, but God who opens doors! Our role is to remain available and faithful to His leading as He uses us for His greater work.

The Lord is the One who determines when and how He opens doors for us!”
Impacting Lives

Our journey in life and ministry can be summed up in one word: TOGETHER! Through every season—parenting, learning, and serving—we have walked side by side, trusting God to lead us step by step, and we continue to rely on His guidance as He leads us forward.

The road has not always been easy. We began with very little, building slowly and faithfully from the ground up. Yet even in those early and humble seasons, God entrusted us with the privilege of ministering to a few—the ones, the twos, and those often overlooked. By His grace, we have witnessed lives transformed, watching brokenness shaped into something beautiful for His Kingdom.

While God has allowed us to reach larger audiences and share the message through various platforms, it is the personal connections that remain closest to our hearts. True ministry often happens in unplanned quiet moments with those who are hurting or searching. We may not reach nations on our own, but we believe deeply in the power of faithfulness and multiplication, trusting God to multiply each small act of obedience and use it to make a lasting impact—one life at a time.

“Start with what you have in your hand!”

Ministry in Motion: Journey of Growth

In 2014, the Lord called us to start a ministry without denominational, cultural, or language boundaries. We then registered a non-profit company to support and steward the growing work of the ministry. It was initially registered as His Shepherd Ministry NPC and later renamed Fanie Myburgh Ministry NPC to allow clearer identification and consolidation as the online ministry expanded rapidly across platforms.

Unsure where to begin, with much prayer, we sensed His simple instruction: “Start with what you have in your hand.” After some thought, we realized we had a house, a garden, and God’s Word in our hearts. It was all God needed to birth something new in our ministry, while still in our parenting season. On May 17, 2025 we opened our home for ministry and launched a house church—gathering people around God’s Word, first outdoors and later inside our home as winter crept in. The ministry grew quickly and we had to make many adjustments to accommodate everyone in our home.

When COVID-19 arrived, in-person gatherings came to an abrupt halt. Once again, we returned to the same principle and began sharing God’s Word online using the most basic tools available. What started with simple mobile broadcasts on Facebook, soon expanded beyond our home and into a full online ministry that reached far beyond our borders to nearly 70 countries.

As our parenting season drew to a close, we stepped away from fixed-location ministry to allow greater freedom for travel and a growing online focus. The online sermon ministry expanded to add a podcast ministry where we continually share the Word of God daily since 2022, growing steadily despite humble equipment and limited resources.

Today, our primary online ministry platform is the Fanie Myburgh YouTube channel, where podcasts are shared Monday to Friday. In 2026, we also began introducing short-form video content on YouTube and Facebook, with plans to expand further as God provides.

We praise the Lord for continually giving us creative ideas to overcome limitations and steward what we have wisely. We trust Him to bless us with improved equipment, allowing us to create, edit, and stream content more efficiently — all to the glory of His Name.
